Meditation of the Day

Releasing tension. Lying comfortably, close your eyes. Scan through your body to locate areas of tension. Breathe into each of these area, visualizing your breath as white light that surrounds and dissolves the tension. Continue until your body is flooded with white light and filled with relaxation.We can help the healing process in meditation by creating positive thoughts that support the immune system. Quietly surrender yourself to the process of healing. Send your body the gift of loving thoughts. Imagine those penetrating your cells giving them strength then need to heal. Envision your body returned to health.Emotions are essentially energy in motion. When emotions are repressed, energy is blocked, with damaging repercussions for the health of mind and body. Visualize wild animals trapped in a cage. What emotions do they represent and why are you so afraid of them? Do their postures in the cage resemble your own behavior in any way? Now imagine releasing the animals. Watch them run off into the distance, finally disappearing as tiny speck on the horizon. Now you are free.
